Get squeaky clean skin sweetly with this natural face wash containing honey.  This honey cleanser is gentle and produces a rich lather, leaves your skin clean and comfortable!  In partnership with Mountain Rose Herbs, I am pleased to share my favorite honey face wash recipe!

I only partner with brands that I value and respect, and all thoughts and opinions share herein are my own.

I going to admit that I am not the poster child for good self care habits and I have eluded to that tidbit more than a few times on this blog.  While washing my face after a grimy day of working on the homestead or in the garden doesn’t take so much convincing — washing my face on a make-up free day of writing at my desk, well, THAT is sometimes takes of act of Congress to get me to me sudsy.

You guys, I am not lazy — it’s just that the bathroom sink is over there and I am over here…  and, and, and…

I swear — instead of being an almost 40 year old mother and former beauty industry professional, I might actually be an 11 year old country boy.

Ask me how I know about the personal care habits of 11 year old country boys.  I’ve had a hand in raising a couple.

All this to say, this girls needs some self care motivation.  And I find it by way of this honey face wash.  Because it absolutely delights my senses!  The rich later, aromatic essential oils, and gentle honey leave my skin feeling clean and my senses indulged.

Honey Face Wash Ingredients

This homemade natural face wash with honey couldn’t be simpler to prepare!  The gentle foam of this honey cleanser fulfills all my “suds means clean” preconceived notions while the honey and glycerin help to the dryness associated with soap based cleansers. This honey face wash is great for removing everyday makeup, dirt and grime!

Castile Soap
This liquid castile soap produces an excellent later and provides gentle cleansing action.

Honey
Honey is a wonderful skincare treatment all on its own, softening and smoothing the complexion.  Added to this natural facial wash it adds a layer of gentle nourishment making this an excellent DIY cleanser for all skin types.

Vegetable Glycerin
Not only is vegetable glycerin a excellent humectant drawing moisture to the skin, it is also offer preservative action giving this honey face wash an extended shelf life!

Essential oil
Because the base of the castile soap is oil, essential oils can be added to this honey cleanser to amplify its skin loving benefits.  I like warming cardamom and ginger to bring vitality to my often pale skin, while lemon improves clarity and radiance, and lavender calms sensitive skin.  You can learn more about essential oil safety in this post.

Hi Devon, I’m excited to try this recipe. I have also pre-ordered your book. I just wanted to mention in the instructions, it says follow with “this homemade toner” but it isn’t linked. I would also humbly suggest that you program your shopping links to open in a new window because I do want to stay on your site and not lose where I was on your site while I shop with your link! Just some suggestions. 😊 Looking forward to the book and exploring your site deeper!
