This Cinnamon Sugar Body scrub is sure to leave your skin soothe, soft and smelling like a dream!
Who doesn’t like a good scrub?
Nobody. I have never met a single person who doesn’t enjoy the invigorating grit of a good body scrub. Another handmade gift to share with friends and family, this Cinnamon Sugar Body Scrub will leave you and yours glowing.
And soft. And smelling oh-so-divine… Like a cinnamon roll.
This simple recipe requires a mere handful of ingredients and minutes of time before you have yourself something wonderful. I like to use coarse demerara sugar as it holds up well when moisture is introduced, thereby maximizing scrubbing potential, and yet dissolves so well there is no worry about slowing your drain. Coconut oil creates a really nice “slip” to the scrub and has the added moisturizing and healing properties. Cinnamon Bark essential oil is warming and stimulating, bringing a flush and glow to winter-weary skin.
This scrub is best applied to skin very moist from the shower or bath. Gently scrub until traces of the sugar are gone. Best to avoid the face and sensitive bits as the cinnamon can be a bit too invigorating for the more delicate tissues… And always be aware that if your skin is left slick and shiny, so too is your tub or shower surface! Careful – beauty doesn’t have to be a pain!

Made this tonight. I mixed cinnamon and vanilla oils together. Oh my yum. .. my skin has a soft sweet scent and the coconut oil makes it satiny to the touch!
