Cranberry Mustard: Leftovers Transformed

Devon Young 2 Comments

Elevate your Thanksgiving leftovers to a tangy seasonal condiment. This Cranberry Mustard recipe is the perfect way to transform leftover cranberry sauce!

With any luck you have risen from your turkey coma, perhaps loosened the belt or just decided on yoga pants instead, maybe you have even emerged victorious from some Black Friday door buster deal (no door busters for me – although I did venture out for one stop and have returned to the relative safety and comfort of home).  Somewhere between the shopping frenzy and the post holiday malaise is the perhaps the best part of the Thanksgiving aftermath – LEFTOVERS!  As the perennial sandwich lover, the classic Thanksgiving turkey sandwich is one of my absolute favorites.  Revisit the turkey and stuffing, add in some crunchy lettuce and slices of hearty toast, but what makes my Black Friday complete is transforming the cranberry sauce into tangy cranberry mustard!

My previous post details my family’s favorite cranberry sauce, but feel free to use whatever you have left over.  And if you are lucky enough to have ample leftover cranberry sauce, dig out a couple cups and turn the sauce into the most seasonal of sandwich condiments in just a few minutes…  You will thank me later!

1/4 dry mustard powder? Did you mean 1/4 cup?
